I was wrong when it came to fitness
I was wrong
When I first became a PT I thought that I had to present myself as the pinical of health
I hid that I drank
I hid that I ate “bad” food
I hid that I had done crazy diets to lose weight
I posted when I had salads
Or Proats
Or the workouts that I was doing
Cos that what health is right?
When really, I am just a human like the rest of you guys
Yes I do enjoy a drink
Yes I do eat pizza (cos who doesn’t like pizza?)
Yes I did try extreme things to lose weight when I was younger
This has all let me to where I am today and means that I can infact understand what you as a client are going through
Instead of sitting up on my high horse looking down on you because you ate a croissant… AND enjoyed it
Yes I do like training but I also like to enjoy my food and have a drink too
Why?
Cos I’m human and these things bring me joy
If all I did was eat kale and train, life would be pretty boring right?
Yet this is what many of us do in order to lose a few pounds (my younger self included)
